I can immediately see that the main benefits to the business owner for having the review app in its current form are two fold - good, quick customer feedback that can be acted upon straight away to manage service levels (with a knock on effect to reputation - i.e. word-of-mouth) and secondly, the business (or the consultant on their behalf) gets to build a list of customers segmented by how happy they were with the service/product/experience/whatever they received.

This means targeted mailings relevent the cutomer based on THEIR experince e.g. "So glad you enjoyed your visit to our restaurant - here's a $XX voucher to spend when you bring your friends along next time" verses " So sorry you didn't enjoy your visit - let us make it up to you. Insert offer here".

If you are considering an 'output' for reviews, I'd like to suggest the schema route - that way 'vetted' reviews can be used on client or consultant controlled site's.

Some of the Android and iOS Kiosk Apps let you change actual tablet settings remotely but Offline Tablet Pro does as well. As it is a plugin and is based in wordpress, you just log into the wordpress site and make whatever changes you want, and they will take effect.

Just a quick question which I think is worthy of answering here (rather than via support) as I think it will add to the product;

How do we change whatever we have installed on the tablet remotely? i.e. to update the offer or capture something different?

I have an idea how this might be done but rather than looking silly (sillier?), I'll wait for your reply.

This vindicates my decision not to make this a google review app, but rather, a modern version of the age-old "customer comment card". The real benefits here are for feedback to the business rather than 3rd party reviews.

There may be a way to do the reviews as well though without it conflicting as "soliciting" reviews, which we are looking at.

Perhaps a client could email those customers who left a positive feedback (call it feedback rather than review) thank them profusely and then, without incentivising them, ask them to post a review on an external review site (or on Facebook) and give them the link and any instructions needed.

You can do it all in one wordpress install and 1 installation of the plugin if you like. It does not use the wordpress posts system at all though, it is all self contained.

it can be installed on a normal site no problem and it won't be seen by normal users or effect anything on the site.

Add a model that will have the optin page, followed by a video with sound 2. A model that plays a slide show, when touched would go to an optin 3. Add sound ability (ogg or whatever non flash based audio) 4. Allow longer autoresponder forms, even if only the name and email are all that is added to the internal plugin data base, which could be used for longer surveys and more indepth data capture

It just uses standard fonts so I am sure that on devices in those areas, it would show the correct fonts then. I am not sure though to be honest as I have no way to test that on my PC.

No, not at the moment but if you have a suggestion we can add it to the list or v2. Already getting lots of cool suggestions :-)

We do have an open HTML textarea for the end process of some of the apps so I guess you would need to just try that out and see, as I have not tested it yet. I think it would handle that fine though

No, we don't have that feature. A few people have asked but it seems google actually penalise reviews that come from in-store review facilities. I guess they think people are more obligated to leave overly positive reviews.

The plugin isn't allowed to be rebranded, we would need to sell a PLR license for that but if people are interested in something like that, we can consider it.

Hi James,

This is a web based app, a wordpress plugin. Wifi/3g/4g isn't a 'must have' requirement.

There are a number of options but some form of internet connectivity would be needed for the businesses leads to go onto their autoresponder (like aweber). However, there's no problem adding a simple webserver on the tablet and running it locally, it will still save the leads in the plugins database. A big selling point though is getting customers onto an autoresponder where they can be contacted and the business would be missing out on that if they had no internet.

No, these aren't Android or iOS apps in that sense. They are wordpress based so you will need to install the plugin in wordpress and create the app in question. You could do this on a wordpress install just for one client, or you could have one central wordpress install with all these running on it.
